Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

I don’t really care about the Bank now. I was upset they let me go, but it all worked out great for me and I’m in a much better position now. I do care about my coworkers some of which would not be so lucky if they left, and who the company actively exploits. Like my Indian teammates who were literally begging for some time off rather than working crazy hours to meet another stupid internal deadline. The stress was making some of them ill, and for what? So some higher up looks good and gets a fatter bonus check? I worry about those guys and hope they make it out.

Exactly! This post reads as if I wrote it myself. I intend to leave soon, but I am very sad how the superiors treat the employees and how much they squeeze them, all just so they get a fatter bonus check.
