Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

One more month until the start of the next wave

One more month till raises are communicated, and the next wave of attrition will begin. Are you guys excited?

Funny thing is, the company is still being picky on hiring even though it's no longer as desirable to work in as before.

Dont forget that EM will invest 15bn in the next 6 years on CCS...so someone has to pay for it as well...and don't forget with current ads that the company is running as well..someone has to pay the PR firm...just because the company is making profit, does not mean that the profit will go back to employee...don't keep your hope high, otherwise you will get disappointed...

The BCP is in full effect in Controller's. Some real concerns about closing the books. The messaging seems to conflict between DW claiming we'll be encouraged by the program to the rumors on here. The rubber is about to meet the road soon

Remember, even a $1 raise this year is infinite % more than what we got last year. That's why Dallas thinks we will be "encouraged". That's XOM math for ya

On the LinkedIn job postings I watch, there are typically 100+ applicants. The Unconventional Reservoir Engineer posting has be out a week and has 15 applicants. Um, yea, perhaps because every 3rd post on LinkedIn is a Cube resignation and know one wants to work for that p-o show.

Won’t help that management has been signaling big raises are coming. Big compared to what?

With inflation over 6% they better learn to react quicker. Maybe as quick as they cut benefits. Exxodus will continue

In EMIT my L3 isn’t allowed to hire any employees (new or experienced) or even bring in contractors in the US. Which sounds crazy because of all of the attrition we have until you realize it’s what they want in the US.

The people I worked with before I left were sometimes unbelieveliably stupid. One of them was new hire, top talent my as.s.

@krn+1dLXrcxu They are ramping up recruiting efforts, yes. But the actual rate of new hires coming in is near zero so far.

Picky in hiring? LinkedIn is all flared up by company smarties promoting cool Afrotech recruiting. Sounds like they are recruiting by pounds the way they portray recruiting efforts at Afrotech.
