OMG. This is the TOXIC culture that has existed at Verizon for over 10 years. It doesn’t matter if the company does well or the economy is fantastic , there will always be layoffs at Verizon every single year. The RIF is part of the DNA of Verizon. It will never go away. Please stop asking this question “will there be a layoff this year”. The Answer:is always YES. If you don’t like working in this Toxic environment, you need to find another company to work for. Or you could be RIFd next.
