Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Is the deadline for jab mandate still December 8th?

Why hasn't Honeywell moved the date to January 4th?

Only for the 12% of American HON sites that do not do government contracts.
All other sites are still Dec 8.

Perhaps they will move the date to from Dec 8 to Jan 4 sometime after Nov 18 (onsite J&J opportunity) and before Nov 24th (last day for J&J). Then the clock can restart on the option to get any of the 3 shots again. Nudge Nudge Nudge.

The date for federal contractors was also pushed back to January 4th, but HON-666 will likely go with December 8th in order to miss the match date.

They have realized that this is the excuse they need in order to phase out of manufacturing while paying out a minimum of severance. This is exactly what they did in 2020 with the cancellation of raises and then the massive RIFs.

Because the date didn't get moved for HON to be able to keep getting government contracts. Only the OSHA date moved.

It's to ensure that Honeywell doesn't have to pay the 401(k) match for those who make their own medical decisions. You have to be employed through December 15 to get the match. It's a slam dunk way to $crew people out of a job and the money they've earned for retirement. All that money will never buy back the souls of the execs.

And people still believe HW cares so much about the welfare of its employees? Well, you employees are the expendables, not the "greatest asset" that they whisper to your ears from time to time.

They don't have to move the date. Jan 4th is the date set for compliance for contractors with federal contracts. Any company can set their own compliance dates before this.

My sister is a pilot for United Airlines and she had to be vaccinated several weeks ago as a condition of continued employment
