Are layoffs on the way? Seems like this company usually waits for the holiday season to implement RIFs. I've been on a couple of recent calls where people have mentioned "looking for efficiencies". Tip of the iceberg.
It would not surprise me if there's a major round of layoffs coming. It doesn't matter whether times are good or bad, there's always an excuse to lay off the hardworking folks at UHC.
Been with the company for a good many years now, and each year without fail, it seems our benefits just keep getting cut. Beginning with the 401(k) match reductions and the look-back provision of the ESPP being cut a few years back, and now a premium increase for health benefits, it seems the plan is to keep us all working forever while executives run off happily to the bank.
