@3zjq+1dNwxQ1F - when confronted with real data and facts your pitiful and unsupported response is that it is propaganda. Just the kind of lazy know nothing response I have come to expect from someone enslaved in a cult. So very sad....

@3xdv+1dNwxQ1F Hmm I dunno, why would we not want unvaccinated healthcare workers? Like I said, y'all are stupid.

@3kud+1dNwxQ1F - if the hospitals are so overwhelmed, then why fire those medical professionals who refused to take the vax? That's approximately 30-50% of all healthcare professionals, depending on locale.

You'd think a real pandemic would press into service as many healthcare professionals as can be found.

@3bcr+1dNwxQ1F - Your link is nothing more than propaganda. The CDC counts them as "involving" COVID-19, which means that if the corpse comes up positive in a PCR test, it gets coded as COVID no matter how the poor schlub died (ref: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm ) Given the monetary incentive to code a heart attack victim as COVID (you get 20% more if you bill Medicare as COVID treatments, versus way less for, say, a heart attack or blunt trauma from an auto accident. The hospital also gets paid 3x more if they jam the patient into a ventilator. ref: https://www.aha.org/special-bulletin/2020-03-26-senate-passes-coronavirus-aid-relief-and-economic-security-cares-act )

Why are conservatives so stupid? It's not about only about deaths. It's about people overwhelming the healthcare system and lasting effects on the body.

" more than 2k a day die from accidents"

One more reason to avoid the commute.

Lets get our facts straight people. COVID-19 in Sept. 2021 was the 2nd leading ki---r in the US. Accidents aren't even close. How the number of accidents could justify complacency regarding protecting ourselves from COVID-19 makes no logical sense.

Disease Daily Death Average

  1. Heart disease 2,078
  2. COVID-19 1,899
  3. Cancer 1,636
  4. Accidents 553
  5. Stroke 444
  6. Chronic lower respiratory disease 377
  7. Alzheimer disease 327
  8. Diabetes 280
  9. Other diseases of the respiratory system 182
  10. Renal failure 145
  11. Su----e 126

Notes: The COVID-19 daily death average is for September 1 - September 30, 2021 and is based on KFF COVID-19 tracker data. Accidents and su----e daily death averages are for 2020. The Alzheimer disease death average is calculated from the first day of January 2021 to the last day of June 2021. Average daily deaths for all other leading causes are from the CDC and are from the beginning of 2021 to the last MMWR week of June 2021.

If they just respected everyone's personal wishes around RTO/WFH, morale wouldn't be so abysmal. Really, who gives a f where someone is as long as work is being done? Everyone knows the collaboration and health and safety being a top priority messages are complete bs. It is so transparent. We have a hall monitor for a CEO instead of a visionary who can positively lead the company. Imagine being worth hundreds of millions of dollars and dedicating 100% of your efforts into ruining the lives of your employees instead of being a leader.

Fiserv HR is a total joke - they try to spin the image that everyone is subject to the same rules, but in reality everyone is being told different things. Some people come in twice a week, some are told "51%", some are told full-time, and some are "astronauts"... the entire HR department should be canned.

"The difference is that, since the pandemic, a very large group of employees, previously told by management that WFH stifled productivity, have discovered otherwise. There is no way that genie is going back in the bottle. Do these people now think the office is "bad"? "

People didnt realize there was an easy alternative to the office until covid proved both the technology existed and the success of the model. Even five years ago i dont think we had the technology or infrastructure in place to support almost 100% of people working from home. So WFH is an example of technology and the environment (ie covid) disrupting the long established cultural and control practices the boomers have put in place. They dont like that.

Regarding the "stop saying its over" post, covid is endemic like seasonal flu. There is an animal reservoir so there will never be an end to variants (like the flu). I think at this point either you live the rest of your life in a hazmat suit underground, or just get over it and turn off the TV.

I think Maher's comment about "how much people must have effing hated the office" isn't exactly true. The office is (was) just the office. Employees showed up and did their thing. The difference is that, since the pandemic, a very large group of employees, previously told by management that WFH stifled productivity, have discovered otherwise. There is no way that genie is going back in the bottle. Do these people now think the office is "bad"? Some may see the office as a detriment, but most, when comparing/contrasting the efforts and outcomes of WFH and WFW, simply find WFW lacking - a lot of extra time and effort expended for no gains.

"You thought it would be about 15% after the pandemic." I keep hearing people saying stuff like this. Did I miss a memo? Did the pandemic end? If it is really over why are they sitting 20 feet apart?

I want to be back in the office, but this shit is not fucking over yet. 2000 people in the US died of it yesterday. 127,000 new cases. Stop saying it's over.

I'm so frustrated because they treat us like we are lazy or entitled. No, we know this is not over and they are doing next to nothing to ensure employee safety.

55%

Frank wishes that many people quit. He just thinks of all the short term profitability that would create.
