Nov 12 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Friday upheld its decision to put on hold an order by President Joe Biden for companies with 100 workers or more to require COVID-19 vaccines, rejecting a challenge by his administration.
A three-member panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans affirmed its ruling despite the Biden administration's position that halting implementation of the vaccine mandate could lead to dozens or even hundreds of deaths.
Can't wait for that date to come. Gonna be a much better AT&T.

@2iuj, might want to take a look at some of the states that didn’t ban the mandate, but rather passed legislation requiring all employers to honor all medical & religious exemptions.

News Flash... No one can change Company Policy, period. Let's be honest, if push comes to shove, AT&T will fire those that don't comply. They are not going to jeopardize losing a government contract over a simple shot mandate. Those that are not compliant, have been identified via business unit reporting. Any headcount reductions needed going into the new year, this list will be utilized.
Court has held up implementation of Bidumb's mandate because it is too broad. However, courts have ruled in favor of company's mandates throughout the country. Don't expect AT&T to back down. . . Thinking you can sue AT&T for firing you or if you have a reaction to the vaccine is a long shot

The ruling won’t matter, the zealots will require it no matter what the courts, science, data or common sense says. 43 NIH studies say masks are not effective. Yet we still have mandates. Vaccinated people still get/spread covid, get hospitalized, and even die, yet get your shot or else. It’s all the unvaccinated people’s fault. Science and studies say natural antibodies are way stronger than the vax by multiple times, but yeah that doesn’t matter, get the shot. People have adverse reactions to the vaccine and some even die, no exemption even if you would be high risk, get the shot.
All that said, the biggest thing is, do you want your employer to have a say in what medical procedures you must have? What you have to put in your body? A mask and a uniform is one thing, this is not the same at all. I’m vaccinated and I am strongly against any mandates. You should be very concerned about your company or any business requiring you to have any medical procedures as terms for employment. This is very scary stuff.

The stay has been issued against the OSHA mandate against employers with 100 or more employees. The court laid down a daunting gauntlet of legal infirmities that the government is going to have a problem overcoming. I think the OSHA mandate is dead.
There is a separate suit against the contractor mandate that is due to go into effect in January.
So, in the end, this vaccine mandate may wind up being solely an AT&T policy. Certainly, requiring managers to be vaccinated in October was solely an AT&T policy.
