Commercial Segment Consolidation

Hearing the US Commercial segment is consolidating more in FY23. Looks like US Commercial will become all virtual when all said and done. The remaining high end commercial accounts will goto Enterprise just like last year when many high end Commercial accounts went to Enterprise. What is remaining of Commercial will be going virtual. This is due to the cost of doing business in US Commercial is extremely too high. Have you noticed the amount of AMs and SAs going to Enterprise or going to the competition. The SAs are already going to a virtual pool and that makes more sense on why since Commercial is consolidating more.

Will SAs be able to choose their own specialty?

Agree that GES is messed up but the reality is that ELT does not see it. Big names and big deals is all that matters. Unfortunately Commercial is being done away very strategically. Many have gone to GES or the competition and not many of those are being backfilled. As an AM, could not stay in Commercial any longer. With the SAs going to a pool model, it is going to make it tougher to compete in Commercial. I have always acknowledged and rewarded the SAs I have been paired up with, but what the SA leadership is allowing to happen is BS. The Commercial SA leadership has treated the SAs like garbage and now they are going to a pool model, then they wonder why SAs are bailing. Thank you to the Commercial SAs that supported me as you were key and you deserve much better than your leadership is giving you. You all should be able to make big money too but they pool your at risk element to the region. So stupid.

No way, not believable. We all know that GES is the most messed up. If anywhere, that is where restructuring is needed (but no word there).

Confirmed. Commercial consolidating. AMs will be transitioned to VSAMs and SAs will be pooled. Don’t know about LR but would not be surprised but can only confirm AMs transitioning to VSAMs and SAs going to pooling.

Public sector is doing the same thing.

SAs going pool next FY to align with the Commercial segment (what is left of it) being virtual.

Agree with post below that finding a position in Enterprise or Public Sector is in best interest of anyone in Commercial.

What do SAs do?

Are commercial SAs going virtual next half or next year?

Both……..There will be an LR just like last fall where some AMs are let go and some AMs are going to be changed into VSAMs. The SAs are all going Virtual in first phase then a second phase has a subset of SAs going to Agile TSAs as a part of GVE. That is only Commercial Segment. Going to Enterprise or Public Sector segment is safe place if you can get an AM or SA position there.

So AMs will be laid off and replaced with VSAMs, or AMs will be converted to VSAMs?

Maybe in 2H. Doubt they are already planning for next FY.

Agree that it makes sense to consolidate and virtualize this sales force. They are not even backfilling those that leave in Commercial.

Makes sense. We don’t make products for these small businesses. Maybe Meraki but that’s sold by them.
