Hybrid model for CIB Operations?

Operations town hall this morning was useless and failed to address the only question on everyone’s mind (surprise surprise). Was wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether CIB Operations will be using a hybrid model (3/2) split like the most other divisions in the firm when the RTO begins in January?

Sorry, but @lum is right. I’ve experienced this first hand on another team years ago. First, hub area ppl were mad bc they were pulled into a hub and jealous of the non hub coworkers. This went on for nearly a year then we came in every other day and alternated Fridays. Then, ALL of us lost bonuses, regardless of hub/non-hub. Then, hub had to come in 5 days and non-hub were laid off. This was pre-covid with tele-agreements. I’ve seen this before. Maybe he sounded snarky but @lum is correct. It’s all about the money.

@lum+1dPFWgxd, such brave condescension from an anonymous internet stranger.

Currently the model is 3/2 but some teams are looking at 1 week then 1 week WFH - the issue is they know people are going to scream. There is some talk about 3/2 one week and 2/3 the next as well. Bottom line UPCHUCK is not going to let it go so they are trying to see how far we can be pushed. With attrition out of control - it will be interesting.

What about "for now" is hard to understand? You're useful until you're not. Until they find someone in a hub city who does what you do for roughly the same cost; until they find someone overseas who can do what you do for cheaper; or until they can automate your position - you're useful. After that, not so much. Its been explained that the hub strategy is the strategy going forward. If you're not in a hub, start looking or ride it out until you aren't useful.

Oh, I think most employees are okay with normal uncertainty; it's the additional unnecessary certainty -- that's gone on for maybe two years with no end in sight -- that is getting old.

Probably because they haven’t even figured it out yet.

Typical of the failed Chase management team they brought in here.

I wish they'd just let us non-hub folks know what they fu-k they plan to do with us -- enough of this "for now" bu-----t. They're creating unnecessary uncertainty, and it's getting to the point that employees are starting to get pi---d off.

Would like to know this as well. No interest in ever going back 4/5 days per week under the false pretense of “collaboration.” Need to know if I need to go full court press with the job search. If they don’t offer hybrid I’ll wait for 401K match and bonus to hit in February and head for the exits. Have a feeling I will be one of many.
