Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Olathe

Have not been on here in awhile. Can anyone tell me what is going on at the Olathe KS. facility.

Seems like the site leader is making less inspections and walk by in all the shop areas and more time in the office.

Olathe Cedar Creek is on the chopping block for Q1 of 2022 and that is why SK's boss made a very low profile inspection a couple of weeks ago. How HoneyHell handles the mandate exemptions will determine if the process is speeded up. In any case you best keep your job search open.

If enough techs that actually know something and can troubleshoot left, Olathe would be in trouble. New hires and new ones from aviation schools can’t troubleshoot. I see new hires wanting to replace half the parts on a main processor board cause they can’t troubleshoot.
Plus look at the aging workforce in OEM and R&O. In the next 1-2 years many will retire.

Under te---r alert if the shop doesn’t make daily ships. Ships just increased today even with less people now
The reign of te---r and scorched earth policy is now in effect .
