Accommodation request decisions delayed?

Has any had their request or heard of any that have been decided on yet?

I was let go already because I did not have a medical or religious exemption. I was remote and willing to test weekly. Cisco said that testing was not part of the federal mandate. It was allowed in Bidens mandate. Now that I’m out of a job the mandate has been temporarily stopped while it goes through the circuit courts. Completely ridiculous

Troll. Cisco hasn't met the LOA dates, much less the termination dates so you weren't "let go already".

Testing is NOT part of the federal mandate under the Executive Order for Federal Contractors, which Cisco falls under. Testing was part of the OSHA mandate, which Cisco also falls under, and has been put on hold by the courts. But the Executive Order still stands.

Come up with better stories before posting here.

The company is required by law to provide a reasonable accommodation unless doing so would cause an undue hardship. Cisco is not concerned about the sincerity of your religious belief, only about potential hardship accommodating that belief. Discussion with HR will focus on your job role and how you execute it. Your manager will be consulted then all information will be brought to a committee who decides your fate. Better chance getting the accommodation if you work remote and your manager is on board with continuing that arrangement.

I got for religious exception, I told them I'm a Mormon. No questions asked, no proof required to confirm that I'm indeed a Mormon. Maybe it's a YMMV or plain luck.

So, in order to claim a religious exemption, you must follow an "approved" religion? Doesn't sound like religious freedom to me.

@1ceb+1dQ60e0b "voter fraud"

This has got to be the most brainless ridiculous comment I've seen on this site so far. If you're convinced there was voter fraud, doesn't that say the incompetent orange cretin and his helpers weren't smart enough to prevent it?

For those who got exception due to their religion, which religion did you put in your request for exception?
Does Cisco verify or ask for proof of religious affiliation?

Anyone that gets put on unpaid leave (or even terminated) due to the illegal vax mandate, note that we are restoring our Constitutional Republic after the 2022 elections.

We are doing everything we can to prevent massive voter fraud.

Once the Republic is restored, corporations that went along with the illegitimate regime's mandates will pay a price.

My request for religious exemption was denied, reason: "There is no such religion." I put down Rastafarian as my religion.

"My director told me flat out, get the shot or get fired. Makes the decision easy!!"

What else would you do if he told you to? I think we all know.

"Knowing that probably 95% of requests are based on lies"

Knowing? or assuming? Making wild, speculative statements with zero facts, is more like it.

Those seeking religious exemption and already had 1:1 with employee resources, what additional questions were asked beyond what is on the form?

Thanks in advance.

Giving in to the mandate is an admission that you are owned.

How can anyone look at the concrete statistics from all around the world and support this "thing"?

I believe in real science and numbers. I know what I'm seeing, not what some brainwashed minions say.

"I was declined today(religious) and I am 100% remote. No reason was given and I expected that if I was declined I would not hear why. My guess is I was unable to show any previous concerns with vaccination testing."
(responding the the question about wha is next"

I've talked about it with my husband and my OB/GYN and both are strong supporters of the vaccine so I am certain that will be next. I am not aware of any appeal process.

For those who were denied a religious exemption. First off I am sorry to hear you and others have been put in this position by the US Government. Yes Cisco could do more but at this point we need to look past this and deal with what is in front of us. Can you explain your religious exemption denial (what happened) and what the reasoning was for the denial? What did you submit to support your exemption beyond the basic form? If willing to share what is your faith...maybe they are instantly denying a particular faith (im sure not legal but who knows these days). Perhaps your insights will help others seeking an exemption and your insights may help your colleagues.
Thank you

"So what are you going to do now? Appeal it? EEOC? Give in?

Note: giving in just means more shots down the road and more intrusion in your life."

Anyone declined should absolutely at the very least report it to the EEOC. I have a feeling they are going to be buried with complaints about Cisco.

The mandate is meaningless and baseless. The "pandemic" is over. We have vaccines and tons of therapeutics. Now it's at the level of the flu, because you're going to need the "new strain booster" every year. We can not continue under a "pandemic" myth forever, it has to end.

I spoke with a Director friend yesterday and he was aware of 2 people in his reporting chain that were approved for Religious Accommodation and being 100% remote workers.

I returned my form and had 1:1 meeting with the consultant yesterday. There's a committee that evaluate our requests. Not sure how long it would take but I am hoping to get the approval soon.

I'm getting the feeling that request decisions aren't going to be confirmed until the very last minute. They are required by law to handle these requests in a timely manner but I suspect deadline games are being played.

I don't believe they are acting in good faith.
