Just finished listening to the four speakers for “The Courage to Care”, an XOM event. It’s by far the best thing I’d heard in a long time and the best ever at XOM. If you can, I’d recommend to watch the recording. It inspired me to be a better leader and follower. Thank you VAST.

Care? For who? For what? You obviously don't work in Clinton. YL has ruined the place. Lower management sucks. Dan O runs the show with his lap dog contractors licking his b*lls. The place is a joke. More people are quitting. Young people if they are smart are moving on. Do more with less. They don't care about you. They try and convince people to stay by saying have you seen the pension? You get OT. They don't get it.
Talk is cheap. Actions matter. You would think a veterans group would know this.
Company only cares when it is convenient and easy. When put to the test last year we saw the true colors of management and it wasn’t caring or pretty.
In two words excon sucks.
Leadership is not acknowledging that we have a toxic working culture...it is only the people who have left that brave enough to address it with the exxodus movement....culture is not build in a year...and the longer you try to deny the fact that the company has toxic work culture, the harder it is to change it in the future....
I care too much. To the point that I missed countless hours with my family to ensure the job was done right and that I help others who needed a hand. I care to muster the courage of conviction to speak out against unethical and bad business ideas. And to keep pushing the ideas that might move the company in the right direction and society forward.
Have the XOM id--ts posting on LI and other social media completely unaware of the Glassdoor reviews of the company? I mean really? And you are still trying to paint a rosy pic of the company, seriously?
There's a special HR id--t from Bangkok and several from EMIT and other business lines. You guys are really id--t that you don't know what's really happening or are complete suckers.
The courage to test out new Kool Aid colors!
Boy oh boy wish I had time to go to training
I'm too busy doing the work of 2.5 people
I’ll jump right onto that….
The courage to care about my workload tripling in the past year due to attrition and compensation has not changed. Meanwhile the Dallas boys are laughing on the gravy train with 8 figure bonus pay plus all the shares they bought as insiders at $30/ share having known they wouldn't touch the dividend in 2020. Corruption... https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/xom/insider-activity
I am sure our management watched and practice it, right?
OP, you just know how to lift EM employee morale. Having read your post we are totally inspired. Forgotten are the stinking fake ranking and the PIPs skillfully hiding layoffs and illegal age discrimination.
Don’t forget to mention this post on your next PDS. Talent like this should be rewarded.
Dollar for dollar, JD Rockefeller was worth Musk and Bezos together when he passed on.
That was a fellow who cared.
Glad the company tradition continues.
I care that I have Sr. Management that pay themselves bonuses greater than the average employees life-time salary while firing stay, ignore employee concerns about offshoring, disregard employee feedback on assessments, and blame their own first line supervisors on the morale issues they've caused.
I do care. That is why I just retired instead of sticking around to watch Woods destroy the proud company I once worked for. I cared enough to try and save some one person a job.
