Cisco leadership saw that revenues were declining for their obsolescent hardware so they decided to raise prices and the market reacted. Cisco will try to survive on service and support contracts as customers move on and their sales decline. Get Woke, Go Broke!

If the shutdown is such a positive, why don't we do it for a whole month?

Next year, the shutdown will be 10 days, that's a whole 2 weeks. Who takes holidays during winter time?

I fear this will be the start of many quarters like this, perhaps indefinitely. Cisco is no longer a C-suite conversation. The ground that Cisco has staked out for 20 years is being encroached by many able competitors. Meanwhile, the people who can sell Cisco's technical vision, the technical community, are leaving in droves leaving behind the fluffy business "architects" who do not know a VLAN from a van. Amidst this, all we talk about is diversity and inclusion. A sad state of affairs for a mighty company.

@xhx+1dRFV5AA — a typical tribal id--t. One more sorry example of the oodles of people who can’t critically think their way out of a toilet paper bag.

Wow, the shutdown was extended. It is on the intranet. Some more notice would have been polite.

Mandatory pto aka forced vacation aka total compensation cut. It’s not vacation if you can’t choose when to take it. If the PTO balance is such a liability - eliminate it (buy it out) and go to unlimited non accruable PTO and let direct management coordinate it’s use.

No wonder the shutdown was extended. 6 mandatory PTO days required now. So much for the free "day for me". They just pretend to care and add the time off to the shutdown PTO days.

Just wait until the productive folks (ie... conservatives) are purged.
