Exxon just proved my assumption to be true… Just gave their employees a merit decrease (adjusted for inflation). Worst place to be in an inflationary period is in a salaried role.
Then we had to pay for the ski trip.
I love our flat org structure with no hope for promotion or material raises! And don’t forget the variable dividend that soaks up all the cash that could go to bonuses! At least MC has lots of stock and benefits from the dividend while the rest of us get to enjoy free lunch and a ski trip! I am too much of a coward to quit but one day it will happen and it will be glorious!
