Breaking news -- 2022 Consumer Reports Reliability

Lexus has returned to the top spot among the 28 ranked brands. Mazda, which had dethroned Lexus in 2021, ranked second, while the Toyota brand ranked third, Infiniti was fourth and Buick was fifth. Honda came in sixth.

Lincoln remains unchanged as dead last in reliability. Ford is slightly improved but still in the bottom third. Consumer Reports is looking at data from three year old cars in this study.

Read that Ford employees/retirees can get the Mazda S plan! (Remember when Ford owned 33 1/3.) "Little brother" is doing well!

Mazda has really done well after breaking free from Ford. I've benchmarked some of their newest designs. It is amazing what they are doing now that they are not forced to share the same componentry that we rush into production and then continiously try to nickle and dime with MCR actions.

Horrible rating. Dead last in the luxury segment accurate for a dead brand. No TV commercial will hide the fact that Lincoln has the unreliable Ford underpinnings but with nicer seats.

So the only thing Lincoln and Lexus have in common are "L", and 28 spots?
