Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What's really going on the Chevron Toilet Paper?

In my experience, it's not safe. And must be used with great care and caution.

Much of Chevron's 'profit' the last couple quarters is not from operations, but from the coffee they don't have to buy for the offices!

I didn’t know that Woodside cut out coffee in their Perth HQ a decade ago. But, I bet if you are invited into an executive’s suite at Woodside, you’ll find most of these uppity types have a $5,000 fancy espresso machine on their credenza with the finest porcelain China serving set.

Woodside cut out coffee in their Perth HQ about ten years ago. It was in all the newspapers. A dozen espresso shops opened up within a block and made a ki----g. Eventually, the corpulent American CEO was axed and the new guy (disgraced and fired from Exxon for some indiscretions with staff), brought the coffee back.

We already cut back on the quality of the existing stuff. Terrible coffee !!! The cheap skates will soon enough cut out the free coffee all together. They simply don’t comprehend that good free coffee is a productive perk, it actually more than pays for itself. But these mor-ons can’t make that connection. They see only the expense and not the “investment”.

I heard that they are going to cut out air conditioning and heat next. It will be a big boost to the dividend!

@4ybh, I don’t really mind having to pull 3 runs of paper out of the auto dispenser to dry my hands. It’s either that or going into the bathroom to find no paper at all because of the few azzholes who prefer to waste 5 times the amount they really need. How often have you found unused paper towels on the floor or soaked with water next to the sink? There’s a limit to anyone’s patience when it comes to others who don’t have any consideration for the next person. So, I’m 100% supportive of the auto dispensers. There’s a reason for them being in the bathrooms.

The TP doesn't bother me as much as those automatic paper towel dispensers, which only give you about 8 inches of paper per cycle (I'm sure someone in CEMREC received an award for that), you have to run it at least three times to get enough to dry your hands.

That's why I recommend what I do, pinch the loaf, don't wipe.

In IT they are making us use cactus skin as a way for management to show their love for us. MW uses golden leaf paper. I did here they are going to ask us at some point to bring our own paper and clean the restrooms ourselves so we can keep winning!

Save that thought for next pertinent office meeting and use as both safety/OE/Diversity moment. Include visual slides ppt...

ps - how is it used for diversity? discussion of different colors imbedded bias...recall many years back Chevron eliminated "brown bag" lunches due to offensive color of bag by some...

I'll call HR and tell them to give us better toilet paper, this is unacceptable.

Wow, and I thought the anti-vaccine folks were nuts. Man up boys, I am sure you will survive this too! There a some folks in this company who have real jobs with real concerns that push “the TP is not as soft as before way way way down the list). I got an idea, do us all a big favor and find some agile manuals to use instead.

The type of toilet paper in the exec loo is directly related to the price of oil. Less than $50/bbl? Next stop: Sandpaper City

That’s why I use the Executive bathrooms on the top floors when I need to pinch a loaf. They use Charmin and Cottonelle toilet paper. Those sly execs have been getting over on us peons for far too long.

Couldn't agree more, that this is an issue. The y switched the type a couple of years ago. Its sandpaper on your a-s. I freaked out and thought I had colon cancer, but then realized that wiping my a-s with sandpaper was the culprit.
