Why is our Women’s product, particularly apparel, so far behind other brands? It has gotten better - but the fit, style, print - most of it is off the mark while every other brand nails it. Why?

Because the place is run by men that think we need to make 1/2 shirts & see-through shirts for women… where TF am I supposed to wear that… to work?!?
Nike has never been a Women oriented culture, from the beginning, it was a hard jock locker room vibe, if it were even minimally so, Jeanne Johnson would still be there, Johnny could not hold her hand bag, Johnny's wife could not hold her hand bag.
Nike men, and the women puppets they seed into management for cover, are uncomfortable with women, but of all their travails, Trevor, Kap, China, this is an area easily remedied.
But company's run under the control of McKinsey, never get fixed, but they do get billed a lot...right up until they can't anymore.
But still a GRAT strategy.

Because it all has to be unisex these days to not offend anyone (and harm the numbers for wall street).
They are more focused on D&I than the product now.
So true. It’s nearly impossible to make a mid-calf skirt out of heavy fleece (that’s not even bias cut) that would flatter anyone. Yet we seem to keep trying.
When you have good 'ol boys running the show, thinking they "know" what women want, this is the result.
Are women actually designing or being puppeted by men? 100% agree w OP
