Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How does your store manage being understaffed?

The situation now is much better than a few months ago, but our store is still understaffed.
In fact, I don't even know if the optimal number of employees for normal functioning can be achieved at all because people are constantly leaving.
In my department we are expected to be "flawless" even though there are still many people missing. Nothing is as it should be, there is a lot of chaos and the situation is getting more and more tense.

Our managers have resorted to hiring anyone who applies, as a team lead it is f***ing exhausting training all of the new hires just for them to not care, not listen, disappear for an hour, call out or no call no show for three days straight. We terminated 4 people in the department in one week for points. I sincerely hope you get the staffing needed and they are quality hires. Its and absolute madhouse.

Our club is like a zoo or better yet a mental institution, with the inmates running the asylum. One checkout open in the afternoon till close. The poor COS' begging for someone to please help with breaks. Members waiting for 30 minutes or longer at membership. Gas lines are crazy long, minimum 20 minute wait. We are doing the best we can to help our members, but it is getting tougher everyday. Chaos to the max. Happy Holidays.
