Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anyone got their base pay adjusted?

I got mine adjusted and was told it was an increase. Apparently this is not related to performance revision etc.,

It's because you have fallen below the minimum pay for your job title. HR makes managers give out these "increases" for equality across the board, you will still get the annual increase when it's time too.

My base pay is adjusted downward with every “merit” increase since those annual jokes are sub-inflationary. Consider any net increase a gift from the gods.

@obs+1dXrspXK was already higher than the base MSRP for the area code

@tqy+1dXrspXK My base was already higher than Base MSRP for the area code (for the current job family). How do you explain the adjustment then?

Yes I got one too - hope they would explain what it is for. No clear communication or anything - just a note from mgr that it is recognition (really?) find it hard to believe

Since no one can be bothered to simply state where they were MRP-wise, it's safe to assume that the only people getting raises are those that were terrible at negotiating their own salary when they accepted their position.

Yes, I got a 2.5 % increase

For those receiving an adjustment, where were you previously in terms of MRP? (I know MRP is going away, but it's still good to know.)

Yes, I got around 10%. Stuff like that always make me suspicious.

@uzd+1dXrspXK "Why does Wells do this to their employees" and an "internal job search" are incompatible.

Spend your effort looking external, you're worth it.

"Why does Wells do this to their employees?" It's one thing to make business decisions, and another to not plainly communicate them. As it stands, it's sociopathy.

fake news, midpoints are gone in new comp plan just a range

My midpoint was dropped by 40k when I was retitled.

So now I'm suddenly making way over midpoint. But still doing the same job as before.

That means no raises for me. Ever.

Lost manager title due to layers and spans - result was target bonus drop of 10% - still doing the the same role and same responsibilities. Starting to ramp-up my internal and external search in case I get screwed on comp. Why does Wells do this to their employees?

Got a 5% raise was told it was due to job re-titling last year. Mgr told me that multiple people were requested by them to get the adjustment but not everyone was approved under them.

Well that's the least this company can do when a lot of the people who have left on their own from this shithole have gotten 10%-20%+ increases to their salary just for leaving.
