Insulting incentive leadership fail

Next time keep this stuff between the front line manager and their employees..
If my boss says I will give you cash to work X hours... it is personal and appreciated.
The way you did it undermined my boss and made me feel small.
Do I need to beg to get on the magic list?
Why didn't my boss put me on that project?
Is it really worth it?

Leadership FAIL.

It's a poorly thought out, too little, too late act of desperation. There are not enough available projects and hours to even hit the first tier of $1k. An additional 35.2 hours per week would be needed through the end of the year for a total of 176 hours. That's working at 75.2 hours/week. That means you get an additional $5.68/hr before the 22% Federal tax on bonuses and another 11% for Medicare /FICA. Add state income tax at 5% and Honeywell can keep their $3.52/hr incentive. Did they really think we can't do basic math? It's insulting and pathetic.

So… is this effort needed for a legitimate project? Or is it to generate Q4 revenue if it is RevCogs?

McDonalds pays 3x what Honeywell overtime bonus is. lol
If you need the extra cash just get a part time job there. More money and far less stress.

so... 9.5 hrs per day for the next 20 days for $5.26/hr additional pay. OH, don't forget your regular hours plus EEI on your regular tasks. Should equal about 21 hours a day. All that will do is totally mess up your taxes for the year.

Aerospace called hundreds of engineers and techs into zoom meetings. VP offered a bonus for hours worked beyond normal hours over the next 30 days on specific customer funded projects. Charge 190hrs against project X in next 20 working days and you get a $1000 bonus... 240 hours and you get say $4k. Don't recall exact numbers.

Bottom line: bonus pay-for-overtime-hours.
Imagine the poor project people trying to find useful work for people who know nothing?
Pay had no relation to salary so for tenured people the payout was below normal wage.

Nobody is offering me extra tasks sooo... why are we talking about this?

Work the holidays and get 2 nice bottles of wine? (Wine is $500 right darius?)
Not attractive.

A little background, please. Sounds like a rant without any story behind it.
