Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Just when I thought they could not get any lower

The good news is I found a new job and this morning I put in my 2 week notice.

My manager called a “transition” meeting at 4:30 today and let me go with no pay for the final two weeks.

Unbelievable. This OFD leadership cannot handle independent thinkers and innovation. Wish I would have known. I would have not given notice at all. I just feel bad for my teammates that think they are getting a “package” at the end info the year. Watch it get pulled last minute once their “transition” activities have been completed and are no longer needed.

I resigned several months ago and had at least 2 weeks of R&R unused. Fiserv does NOT pay you for these unused days.

Leaving was the best decision I have ever made. Good luck to everyone.

The moral of the story - do not give notice if you have another position.

They are giving folks "time" as they are putting together relo or incentive packages, whatever that means. What they are saying is - they want you to panic and find another job first so you don't cost them the exit money.

Supposedly, you are given time until they can replace your job in their desired location "hub" and given incentive to stay to transfer knowledge. But I find it hard to believe they will treat that many positions in that manner.

This is literally illegal in numerous states. If they skimp you for unused leave, take it up with the state labor board. The fines alone will at least double the pay they held back from you.

They'll only do that once...

So, what happens for the ones that commit to the end of the termination from the supposed severance package and don’t provide any resignation? Will they not pay for staying until the end?
I heard any unused days off won’t be paid, I highly recommend everyone to take all their unused days off before leaving.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Was this FTS, Bank Solutions, Cards? We're having a raft of ppl resign, but they are serving out their two weeks usually.
