Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

They say work to live...not live to work

Not true for a lot of us financially. Nike only makes sneakers and t-shirts so no one will die. Are you sure about that? It seems to me that Nike is run by HR from the top (MO). You can't report HR to Employee Relations (ER) as they now own it. Nike Legal was switched out/wiped out. How is that possible? That's a conflict of interest. If that's not corruption, I don't know what is. What the he-l happened to this company? Good Old White Boys or Good Old White Girls now? "Witch" is worse? JD? Got Ba--s t-shirt? You should buy one. Or maybe you have "LOST BA--S".

Clueless HR, all they do is listen to the loudest so called “people managers” aka high school bullies. Want to find which side they are on? Not those who do the work, their primary job is protect Nike from liability and cover the manager behind in doing whatever. What about ER? TV drama at best. in short - the survivor show is happening somewhere near you.

Im in HR you think HR is evil from the outside you should see it from the inside One big sorority fight. “Leader” can’t keep the good people in fact she fires them and promotes her own it’s yes mam or your out. But Nike hr is the best soap opera there is so I cant leave this its fascinating

There’s really no humanity in human resources. They’re a bunch of corporate robots that toe the company line. I’ve heard of the recently layoffs in techops where the HRBP was cold, demonstrated no empathy, and simply followed protocol like a corporate drone.

So true. The company lost it ba—s when Phil left. Now ES, EH and some of the other EVP’s left the culture is completely gone. Nike used to make a difference in the world, now they are only trying to make short term financial goals.
