Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

layoffs coming for remote employees to fill NJ campus???

speculation is mounting for filling 2k roles in NJ, that out of state remote employees will be on the chopping block

why you ask?

see the EMERGE Program (NEW)
https://www.njeda.com/financing-and-incentives/

this is corporation and government at its finest.... tax incentives in exchange for NJ-based jobs

nevermind the shortage of technical resources in the labor market, youre replaceable!

fiserv will maximize tax credits from this program and jobs will be filled by NJ labor to meet with incentive deadlines and political handshakes. you can count on that. lost revenue by way of tax credits are unacceptable

just ask former first data associates on what frank's stance on remote employees

what say you? hope i'm wrong??!? you can feel it already

Think we are all saying the same thing posting here for the doubters that did not think it would happen to them. As far as Frank's concerned Covid is over. Your location kiss it goodbye relocate or else deal with it. We professionals who deal in pragmatic business understand these moves makes no logical sense to greater Fiserv that's not important to this quarters or the next numbers.

I think you may have been asleep for the past year or perhaps you work at a site with little communication from your leadership. Everyone at First Data knew this was what Frank would do as soon as Jeff was out of the picture. We posted about it here on this site to warn everyone it would happen. Its what he did when KKR brought him into FD.
For the record, we don't like the executive leadership either! I was excited thinking we would get rid of Frank and his oligarch cronies.... Instead he pushed Jeff out, brought many execs in (21 C-suite DO NOTHING execs is RIDICULOUS) and started removing all the benefits that Fiserv employees stayed for. The new Fiserv is top heavy. You do not need all those SVP's, VP's and Directors but you DO need people to actually do the job!! And yes, Frank is closing offices and will be laying off MANY employees if they do not want to come into a local office or relocate to one of the hubs if your office was closed (WTF would move from Central Florida to New Jersey?!?!?!?) Frank is a narcissist and he does not care about employees.

This isn’t some reality hitting secret scoop you’re posting. This is already well known. Remote employees are being laid off. Campuses are going to be closing. Frank is running a great company, that just had an incredible decade, straight into the ground.

So no one doubts you. We all know what’s going on.

Yep, look for a "Location Strategy" meeting on your calendar.

This is already happening, Remote employees are being told move or you are being let go. But, it’s not only to NJ.

Either way who wants to move to the cr---y states they are in?

All those locations are terrible.

More criminality, more gangs, overpriced houses, overpriced rent, overcrowded, taxes, bad schools, cost of living is horrible, traffic is worse than average and the weather is a pain. Pretty much forced to change jobs.

Filling jobs in a state with a punitive income and property tax structure may make sense for Fiserv, but not the employee.

Totally agree.
Expedite the offices closures under the covers of covid.
More associates outside the 50 mile bubble that will now lose their jobs if they don’t relocate
Thank the hard workers balancing life and work from home by telling them that Productivity went up while they worked from home….makes sense to lay them off and hire in NJ.
