Does anyone have information which orgs will be impacted? Before I hoped to be among those who survive, but this time I hope to be first on the layoff list.

IDC is predicting a glut in 2023 as are many insiders.

They are replicating the semiconductor supply chain many times over. Customers are double and triple ordering, pulling demand forward, meaning there will be a cyclical dip in demand in a year or two as new capacity comes online.
Feel free to ignore the obvious.
TMG is always looking to layoff people. The supply chain org has it down to a science.

@4bjy: Pat did give his usual song-and-dance about the need to match our compensation to our competitors, but offered no specifics. Reading between the lines on the basis of this and his last few all-hands, I sense he has not yet brought the board around to approving such an expenditure. One can only hope . . .
Intel, TSMC and Samsung are wayyyy overbuilding capacity.
The layoffs will happen in 2023 when the capacity glut hits. This always happens. It’s cyclical.
I’m sorry, but why would people think an all managers meeting means layoffs? Is there nothing else that all the company managers could be talking about? If I were a manager, I’d want to hear about compensation since far too many people are connected to recruiters from other companies. No one likes seeing a dependable person suddenly leave with knowledge acquired from years of work.
I was so hoping to be laid off but, out of pure spite, the village id--ts wouldn’t let me go. So I decided to exit stage left. I lost my next sabbatical and RSUs but guess what? Better job, more pay, and great new team. Lesson? There are plenty of jobs out there, don’t waste your time at that s-it show.
Intel is in no position to layoff people.

Ya'll are pulling this layoff stuff out of thin air. Pat emphasized that we'll be increasing headcount, especially in software. He said it is absolutely necessary to support the Foundry model.

Yes, an increase in hiring, after a layoff. Intel is known for this.
Intel has too many many people they are going to do a quiet layoff or resign offer so that many people wont get panic from this.
Pat is going to spend 20billion in Arizona and claiming to be planing to building honking 100B fabs in Europe and US. Hard to see him laying off now.
But people in the know knows after hiring everyone and with inferior technology with lazy Europeans and Americans working in them will insure big layoffs are all but certain
Pat will get billions in subsidizes and hundred million pay day, but after he ruins the company with his silly demanded crusade it will be a FUBAR of a layoff, LOL
I have not seen a single post from anyone confirming there is an actual layoff. Everyone is just reacting to the all managers meeting. Only thing I actually heard from colleagues is an increase in hiring... Everyone is already leaving, who are they gonna layoff anyway.
