termination question concerning vacation time

Hello. What is the process for left over vacation time after a separation from the company? Do they place it on your final check after separation?

IF you are eligible any accrued time not take will be compensated on last check. Remember it's only accrued not the whole years balance.

District 4 - The parties agree that employees who have a service pension retires, dies or are separated from service due to a surplus or layoff shall be paid out the unused portion of their annual vacation allotment as if they had worked the entire year.
If not it’s based on a formula based on monthly accrual thru out the year.

Depends on how long you have been with the company. The longer you are with the company, the more of it you keep.

In the SE you are paid what you have accrued up to your last date on payroll.

It may depend on the State and separation reason.

California considers accrued vacation as earnings, so it must be paid out.
