Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Who got a phone call asking if you will comply with vax mandate?

Received a call from my manager who said they were required to call each employee and ask the question. Mandate yesterday, asking you of your intentions today. Unbelievable.

Would have loved to record the call had I known it was coming. Got the call out of the blue.

Was asked: Did you receive the email regarding the vaccine mandate? Do you understand it? Will you comply with the mandate?

What a cra*py position to put managers in. Glad I'm not in "leader(sinking)ship".

How many employees are going to find job opportunities with their CUSTOMERS? I know of quite a few. May HON lose not only their best employees, but their customers and revenue, too!

Hey, Dairya$$! How hard is it to get an arrogant, greedy, out of touch, old pr1ck to be the empty suit in Charlotte? Any corpse from the morgue will do! I can get a chicken with a finger to do your job!!

Your medical information is none of your managers business. You should have recorded the phone call and reported it to a lawyer so they can work on a class action.

Tell them you have until Dec.8th to decide. Then they will know, not before that.

Remember that since HON is self insured that they are your healthcare provider under HIPPA. The plan administrators only take care of the paperwork.

Asking your employees whether or not they will consent to a "medical" procedure? Clear violation of HIPAA.

Hey @1qvh+1djV8ks5, I'll bet you are the guy/gal/fem that complains the big ole doors at work are too heavy to push, and pale, weak wristed incels such as yourself are thus discriminated against.

Vaccination information is classed as PHI and is covered by the HIPAA Rules. However, HIPAA only applies to HIPAA-covered entities – healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses – and their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated in order to allow that individual to work without wearing a facemask, that is not a HIPAA violation as HIPAA does not apply to most employer

Don't bother with Integrity Hotline, it will be blackholed. Better off filing a HIPPA complaint with the EEOC since HON is self insured.

WTH happened to HIPPA?? Why should I tell my manager or my HR person my personal health information?

Do you really think Brandon issued this mandate without the support of the big corporations? It was no surprise to them. Think about how the WH works with CEO's of big corporations. Think back. Do you remember Darya$$ giving a personal tour of mask manufacturing? I think there's a kickback of some kind big corporations are getting for imposing this vax. Prove me wrong.

Just say you are, upload a card, then leave after the match comes in.

Don't tell your boss or your co-workers your status - vac'd or not. Asking in a group setting is also inappropriate. They're just trying to determine how they're going to make the quarter if key personnel leave since they've apparently read the posts. If your manager asks for your medical status in front of others, file a written complaint with HR and the EEOC.

If you got the jab, did you not have to show your insurance card?
Pretty easy for them to see who got it.
Take folks who do not have hon insurance out of the equation.
Pretty easy to know who did not get it.
The phone call is intended to strong arm you.

You need to just leave the company, your stupidity makes you a liability. I bet you're the mo--ns getting injured constantly causing us to have to sit through all the safety bullsh*it on all the employee meetings.

Just go, no one will miss you. Take your BS elsewhere.

Rtx is using 3rd party databases to collect status and exemptions.

They are not disclosing any privacy policy for either.

The systems are named agilepoint, and symplicity.

Just so everyone knows that your data is going to be shared with the government and third parties.

A phone call? From work? On my personal phone? No.
I have worked for Honeywell (by acquisition) for 30+ years.
They have the phone number from my resume. I haven't had that number since 1995.
HR sent a request that I update my phone number in the system.
Yep, that number is current. I hit verify.
They do not have and will not ever get my current phone number.

No call yet but once the vaccine was available my manager did ask twice if I got the vaccine yet which is a medical question he shouldn't have been asking.

No vaccination means no employment, a process of self-elimination for unwanted mediocrities.

Also is shown your the the % of the Jab strange how does Honeywell know ah medical told them. Again this is getting unreal. Nothing safe out there anymore but we all need do best be safe.

What a joke!!! If only 5% of the company do not follow the mandate that is 5k or so of the workforce. That is quite a bit of backfill. But, hey, Honeywell pays so well, should not be a problem . Lol

What do they mean by comply? That you'll either show that you've been vaccinated, will get vaccinated if you haven't been already, will file a medical exemption, a religious exemption, or accept that you'll get sh-t canned? We'll all (probably) comply with that one way or the other.

Ain’t true. You think they care if you stay or go. RIF is coming either way. Mandate just a tool for HW to RIF w/o severance or liability

Yup, my supervisor pulled the seven of us together on a conference call Wednesday, shortly after the vax announcement came out.

Went around and asked everyone their vax status, and if they weren't vaxxed, what their plans were (vax, no vax, applying for an exemption, etc).

I thought it a little inappropriate to ask those kinds of questions in front of the rest of the group. Sadly, for this particular manager, it's about par for the course. (4 of us were vaxxed, 3 un-vaxxed, for those keeping score).

My impression was management will be tracking status of the larger employee group as the situation evolves. I got the sense managers had been charged with developing plans for how to cover work for anyone who plans to defy the mandate and stay unvaxxed and exemption-free.

Crazy times.
