Survey Results Must Really Stink!

Getting meetings to review results and follow-up meetings for action plans. The survey must really blow. Anyone seen anything yet? How bad was it?

I remember the good old days with Gallup. We would choose “have a best friend at work” as the easiest thing to improve. Action plan: go out for coffee as a group once per quarter. Eventually we all learned that scoring everything as a 5 was even easier.

That's my take as well. Keep your head down and stay under the radar. No job is worth the aggravation IMO.

I've learned my lesson. All questions will be answered exceptionally positive on future surveys. Just not worth the hassle to be honest!

Par for the course.

You criticized executive leadership? This means you told the people, whose only job is to direct those below them, that you're miserable and things aren't working? Well, it's obviously not them, cause Charlie freaking loves them, pays them a fortune, and lavishes praise on them. They're "performing", so you must not be.

Therefore, it's you who get to come up with solutions. You're the one complaining, you figure out what's wrong and fix it. It doesn't matter that you, your team, your manager, and their manager don't have the authority to actually fix it since the issue - as your survey results so clearly indicated - is well up the chain. It's your fault, cause you complained.

It's how management forces the bad results back onto the employees while telling themselves that they're doing something about it. They want you miserable so you quit, right? You just gave them another avenue to be miserable in their book. Don't be shocked when they use it.

unfortunately I don't think addressing results at the group level will do much good if the direction from the top isn't going to change. if you want happy employees treat them and pay them fairly, actually embrace candor as opposed to just saying you do, and communicate openly. Sometimes an I don't know is better than no response at all

Never could figure out how those meetings and “action plans” were supposed to make the work better or the customers happier. My manager was a worthless suck up, so I asked her manager. He told me it wasn’t about results, it was about going through the process.

WF in a nutshell.

It cant be as bad as the old gallup poll reviews. ‘Pick 2-3 of these results and meet monthly to improve results. It’s up to the team to determine how you will improve scores.” Those were brutal. One year of that cr-p and everyone voted 4-5 for each question.

Clearly none of you surprised people worked for Wachovia or Wells for a while or you would know this was a yearly thing we used to do.

That’s what always happens. They stopped for a while but now we’re back to the “normal “ waste of time BS.

“This place is trash, they never do what they say they are going to do”

“OMG, this place is trash, they are doing what they said they would do. Just imagine how bad the results are for them to execute thir own plan!”

So the same thing that's supposed to happen every year with the survey, and something they explicitly told us would be happening, is happening?

Sure, must be bad survey results.

Managers are not sharing the whole deck. I ‘d live to see what is in it. Our manager only focussed on their low numbers and was very surprised
