Verizon had this up their sleeve for a long time now. It's just like these landlords that waited for the rent moratorium to expire so that they could evict the tenant, same concept with Verizon. They waited for the vaccine mandate because they know that they'll be sure to reduce the headcount to what they want it to be with employees that refuse the vaccine and employees that didn't get it before their deadline so I don't foresee them offering any packages UNLESS they still have a surplus after all of this and even then the ba----ds will do anything in their power to try to fire you first. I'm praying for a SEIPP too so I can finally live life but I don't see why they would.

buyout package? no unions in any company in the nation have offered any sort of buyout package as a result of this vax so why would this company be the first?
I hope the Union uses this mandate to negotiate us a buyout package. That would be a win for everyone.

It hasn't reduced headcount across the nation in other businesses. There are a lot of boomer hogs at verizon though, maybe get rid of some slow inefficient workers
