Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Govt pressure

Craig comes on at noon to announce vz vaccine mandates today and then an hour later Biden gives a briefing announcing private sector mandates will begin soon.
Coincidence? Nope. All planned.

Christy knew this was coming and got out.
Govt needs chip makers and can’t pressure intel like they can Verizon.

What’s the difference. Cablevision is upgrading their fiber ALL over Jersey while Verizon pushes McAdumbs wireless. Great investment. Optimum is pushing 5G wireless service at a lower price. May be a blessing to jump the sinking ship.

It's not a law, it's yet another executive order. The president doesn't make law, amazing how many people would flunk basic government today. If companies had any guts they'd stand up for their workers however the truth is the exec's are happy with their millions in compensation.

Elections have consequences..

I bet there will be a regular 10grand eipp for union workers coming up, to see if they can get those who do not want the jab to roll out of here for peanuts - my guess is you will see those that are pension eligible and dont want to be jabbed bolt out.

Christy left because I tell is a better company than Verizon. Not because of a vaccine mandate. Intel will have a vaccine mandate too, it's a law not a VZ policy. Consumer WFH employees don't have the mandate which shows VZ only mandated where required by law, otherwise everyone would have to get it.

  1. Those that had the foresight to financially prepare for an emergency like this.
  2. Those that kept themselves up to date, trained, and employable.
  3. Those that have the ba--s.

If you have #3 at least, you have the potential to leave.
If you have #3 and one of the others, you made it much easier.
If you have all three, there's no reason to subject yourself to this.

You make your own privileges.

Yeah, most every other company on this website all have the dec 8 th deadline for the vaccine. Do a ‘dec 8th’ or vaccine mandate search on the homepage. No jab, no job for any of us.

This vaccine requirement is different than those in the past for job required vaccines. Previous to this the employer was liable for any vaccine injury.
Now, OSHA recently removed that employer liability. We are all sheep.

Say what?
A resignation (by any means), is not a layoff.
