Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The solution is simple

How do we fix AT&T? We need to cut either half of the C-suite or cut the entire C-suit's salaries in half. Then we reduce the dividend some more and stop share buybacks altogether. We'll solve all of our financial issues quickly and painlessly - without having to lay off any more employees or institute an umpteenth reorganization.

We need a new CEO who can profitably innovate and have a proven track record of doing so in a telecom or highly technical business putting customers first. They need to be well rounded in sales, marketing, customer service and technology. Then they can clean house and get a CFO who can talk to the market that the market respects. Leaders in HR who emphasize employees as assets not expenses.

Why would someone post it would help to cut anti-vaxxers? The topic is poor business decisions costing the company money — not people’s personal choice.

I don't personally know any employees of T that would advocate any of T's products or services. Just ask customers about their customer service experience, cramming and jamming is the norm. Now we have Lily commercials saying it's not complicated. Yet when the customers show up at our retail outlets for an upgrade, they are told it is complicated, their phone is not included or otherwise not eligible for the upgrade, sweet!

It would help if ALL employees would promote and support all products and services the company sells. The company will get re-focused back to it's core business, and generate more revenue and business.

Doubtful that the OP could manage a lemonade stand.

Agree with cutting their bloated salaries. Quit cutting hard earned benefits from employees and retirees. Employees and retirees did not create the $150B deficit, Stankey did. Teach them a lesson, hit them in the pocketbook.

T will be a toxic cesspool until we are rid of the Ratty and Stinky. The pain will continue at T unfettered meanwhile. The C-suit will NEVER cut their salary or perks at any company.

Please don't stop the share buybacks, share price is an absolute bargain right now.
