Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

How much pay raise would keep you here?

I’m also one of those looking for a new job because I have no hope of getting a decent raise here. HON would rather lose half of the best employees than give them the raise they deserve and need. I’m not looking for some big raise, but 2 percent is too small.

even at 10% , after taxes it's 'just lunch money'... are you willing to tolerate years of mythical leardership for a little extra lunch money?

HR is throwing that question out to those who left or are leaving because that's the only blunt tool they have. No real insight into into the minds and motivations of everyday employees.

It's why this board is the most active of any aerospace tier 2 company...

No raise will keep me here. HON is a dead company walking! There is NO future in Aero so if that's where you are, better to leave now before the market floods with ex HON people all looking for the same jobs. Mad dog and dairyarse are steadily running aero into the ground.

Getting my raise when my two weeks are up, had multiple offers from different companies and went with the best on several categories

Remember, every week of furlough is a 2% paycut

Given not getting a raise in 10 year and current inflation environment, a 25% raise and I would feel like I had broken even. That does not count loss of retiree healthcare and the years of no 401-k match and every increase healthcare cost and increase in deductibles. It been the Honeyhell existence career.

Every time you watch a town hall zoom show DA can't stop talking about how great we are, how good the numbers are, but really not even a thank you let alone any $$ for the people who are working weekends and evenings to make it happen. And there's always more we can do. Even the tiny little Bravo Award $$ get turned down. Only HON goal = cost reduction = fewer US $$ employees and more low cost region employees.

Tons of companies are paying salary, bonus and stock as regular packages. People at Honeywell are lucky to get bonuses as Band 4. Band 3? Forget about it.

Start looking people, Honeywell is not competitive with packages.

The overseas gigs are ending this decade. China is a bust. Honeywell execs already fear exposure of the amount China has courted them. A viral post about honeywell carelessly sending itar drawings to China, just one of many leaks, would be damaging. Maybe add a picture of the honeywell export control officer who was arrested a while back...missed that one did you? Meanwhile India will soon enter its Unionization phase of development. Now that the world is dependent they need tocrank up wages to get their standard of living up.

I am in Clearwater and it is absolutely a swamp. Cost of living is skyrocketing and I am not the right gender to get promoted or a raise. Avoid florida. I am looking to return to Texas at first chance.

10 percent plus a 5percent cash bonus soon. I don't want stock.
Given that raises would not take effect for six months not sure it will matter.
Lockheed offered me 15 percent raise transferring from honeywell senior sw eng to their level 2 with relocation to Orlando. I think i can do better.
Interview with Raytheon scheduled for next month. Raytheon is in a more desireable area as central florida is a forsaken swamp. Not sure I could stand living there.

The reason there are no or small raises is because they can just hire more overseas help at a fraction of the cost.

I am going to look for somewhere with better pay. I would need at least 10% raise to stay and I ain’t gonna get that.

6% to keep up with inflation. But then I realize that will be furloughed to claw back in the 2nd half of the year. Better off to seek a new gig!3
