WF Mortgage/ worst ever

I do not work for WF, but work with them in the title industry. WTF is going on there? Worst experiences ever for customers and title companies. Customers deal with 20-30 different people during the process, then takes months and months to actually close, even on simple refi’s. Everyone cringes when someone chooses WF for a mortgage loan in my industry. So terrible.

Depends on who you know. If you have a good WFA referral or are connected with a high producing private mortgage banker, you will have a great experience. If you get a random mortgage consultant in Nebraska you will be doomed. I work in Home Lending Operations and the majority of my loans are with some of the top PMBs in the company. These are very credit-savvy, well networked individuals with established books of business with affluent clients. Majority if not all of the customer surveys that come back after a loan closes come back loyal, 10/10, etc.

I got a better idea elsewhere even with the employee discount. Enough said.

I have heard nightmare stories from a friend in Orange County and a guy in my department’’s parents in San Francisco. Also had a cousin working in mortgage processing in Iowa. All said WFC is late in processing paperwork, high turnover so very few experienced employees, you can never talk to the same employee twice so there is a different story/excuse/document needed every time you talk to them. It’s terrible and embarrassing and is just a small example of the mismanagement happening at WFC.

I work for WFHM and yes it's terrible. I do not use them for my own mortgage needs. Poor management decisions, outsourcing work to India, changing the process constantly...just to name a few issues.

I had a terrible experience with them, too. As did my WFA clients. Will never use them again. That's why they've lost so much market share.
