Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Spam posts

Anyone else notice that when posts get real there is a slew of nonsense bs posts that have nothing to do with anything that follow? Almost seems like someone wants to bury to real stuff.

Seems the delicious slices of pork fat and pthalate salts are being deleted on occasion.
But only after the burying of the relevant is accomplished.

I suspect this site has limited resources for removal of said swine-tail concoctions.
I wouldn't want to be the admin here.

This is real. On the epic thread (four times deleted by an obliging admin!) about the ex-Culture Manager that posted a rant against another oil company on LI, we first got threats (the company will find out who you are!) and then the same person of interest dumped a huge post (random copy and paste from some O&G publication) that effectively took a minute to scroll down.
Later tactics included posting initials and then crying admin because personal info was posted. This is no ordinary troll or regular dim poster, and since the article about the Cube becoming a symbol of corporate failure was published, there’s significant pushback from company PR.

Wow, I mean wow! Seriously? Is this the game that mgmt., admins, and those that want to shy away from facing real issues at XOM is doing?

Spamming the board with absurd posts to bury down of visibility other meaningful posts? Def. the tone deaf BTC manager might be one along with mgmt. And admins of site. All revealing true colors now.

Board always seems to light up in the weekend. I end up texting links to the best posts to my buddies. We have a persistent chat group for it. Personal phones only of course.

I think it’s the fact that we all are on similar schedules…I mean of course there are more posts when big news is announced and on weekends or after 5 ct etc

Yes there is a whole team of BTC engineers who do this. Search for “BTC Layoff.com workflow” and you will find it on share point.

Slack is great but I am sure we would find a way to customize it like we have with slido.

There is quite a bit of nonsense on here. It’s a layoff site. What do you expect. Would be great if we could get slack at work.
