Perhaps you are too young to remember how if someone in your house had one of those dreadful childhood diseases, the house was quarantined. Why do we care about unvaccinated people running around? Because contrary to what the ignorant might say, the period of time you spread the disease starts before you even know you've been infected. So how exactly do you keep grandma, or your dad with COPD, or your brother who is immunocompromised because of his crohns medication, or your kid for that matter safest from the disease? You do everything in your power including vaccinations, masks, whatever it takes. And you hope others take the same precautions instead of being ignorant sheep.

Every notice how no one that had polio, MMR, Chicken pox, Influenza or all other vaccines ever worried about someone unvaccinated giving them the disease? No, that stupidity started in 2021.

It sounds like that doctor was indiscriminately handing out cards. That's why she got caught.
Like many have said before, getting the card is only half the battle... you need to make sure you're entered in the databases.

Some doctors are having their license suspended for proving false COVID exception forms. Get the vaccine it’s safe, otherwise you may get caught and you may wind up in the news and no one may hire you for a long time.

I submitted mine and the next day I received a confirmation email. They must have a process to verify the information submitted.
@iyr+1dnED81C that's called fraud and if Drs. are willing to risk their medical license over providing false vaccine documentation, you should be willing to risk your job over being non-vaccinated. Unbelievable.
Its so funny to see how antivaxxing has become a thing. There were always a few nature weirdos who didn't vaccinate their kids. I knew one of those families many years ago. Kids were allowed to progress at their own pace so the 8 year old couldn't read, lots of long hair, dirty house, whatever. I hope it worked for them.
Now a half dozen people post conspiracies on the web, influencers spread the manure, and there you have it: all these followers join the bandwagon like a bunch of sheep following their master. And antivaxxing has officially become a thing.
Of course people are now dying, but there are so many who are too proud to get vaccinated even though they know it is the right thing. This is one of the unbelievable moments in history like when 19th century doctors refused to believe that washing your hands would cut hospital deaths. It took years and thousands of deaths for Dr. Lister to persuade them. History shows people can be complete id--ts. And now history is repeating itself once again.
Non Vaxxers standing their ground all together like the sheep they are. Some anti-vaxxer cried wolf out on the web and now the sheep stand there all passive doing nothing to help themselves. Then the virus hits their family and then they wish they had done something active like get the vaccination but too late. Time to be active now and get the shot rather than baahhing away their time and being remorseful later.
I find it funny that the vaccinated people refer to the unvaccinated as "sheep" when they are the ones lining up and taking the shot and the unvaccinated are standing their ground.

Does anyone know what's required for the medical exemption? I found someone who will write it up but unsure if it will be a form like the religious, will it be the standard Sedgwick papers, or will we submit a statement/letter from the provider?

Yes, I submitted for the religious exemption yesterday. Once you are in the report, depending on if you click 'yes' or 'no' to certain questions it opens up areas to type in your case. Here are the questions and subquestions on the form.
- Please identify the sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance that is causing you to seek an accommodation related to the COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
- Please describe the conflict between such sincerely held religious belief, practice or observance and the COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
- Is the sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance you identified in response to Question 1 based on an organized religious faith to which you belong?
if 'yes' please explain in more detail
- Have you received other vaccinations previously? yes or no
- Would receiving a COVID-19 vaccine interfere with your ability to practice your religion?
if 'yes' please explain in more detail
- Is there anything else you would like the company to know about your request for accommodation?
- Do you have any supporting documents you'd like to upload?
I don't think chiropractors can administer the vaccine and/or write your vacc card and/or enter your info into the national database. However they may know where one can go. Good call. Thank you @1dtm
That's an awesome idea, @1dtm. I hadn't thought about that. I was in a motorcycle accident a few years back, and the chiropractor was the only one who could fix my hip. He was one of the guys who thought vaccines and autism were tied together... I haven't seen him in years, but I'd bet he'll hook me up one way or another.

Chiropractors are doctors in the US and most are anti-vaccine. Most of the anti-vaccine doctors on YouTube are Chiropractors, Ostiopaths, or homeopathic medicine practitioners. There are options. They may even sell you some essential oils and recruit you into their MLM while you are at it.

@aik: I'm certainly not trying to judge, but if you can't ask your doctor a direct question regarding your healthcare, I'd reconsider your relationship with your doctor.
Alternatively, you can canvass trusted family and friends... their doctors may be willing to help out. Maybe someone knows a sympathetic pharmacist who can get you in the databases. I would avoid the guy on the corner with a trenchcoat full of "Rolex's" at all costs. And, I wouldn't search online for someone.
I lucked out... My doctor is pro vax, but radically anti mandate. He was happy to help me out. He did encourage me to change mind, and assured me there would be a dose waiting if I changed my mind.

Yes everyone should be using a doctor that will lie to hurt a global health problem. That’s awesome same kind of guys that wrote all those pharma scrips. No thank you go to your doctor that you trust and get the shot and no problems. Anything else is a risk to employment. I’d guess somewhere around 95% workforce would do for them

@dtw: you have to do your research. You need to make sure you get the card AND get recorded properly in the appropriate databases. I'd start with your family doctor (after all, you trust them with your life)... if they're unwilling, maybe they can direct you to someone who will.
You don't want a "fake" card. You want a real card without the vaccine.
