Who uses Symphony? I dont know of a single group.
Left WF, working at another bank, using Teams.
It's unreliable and doesn't work for everyone.
Teams is fine, the implementation is problematic. It was only supposed to replace Skype. Then is was supposed to be the telephone system for all unregulated users. The implementors did and do not have the knowledge of a massive telecom rollout. Now we are 3 months past the original deadline and the new deadline is 2 years out. Mgmt keeps changing the goals across the board and acts surprised by the downstream messes created.
Like most MS stuff, Teams will probably have issues. That said, MS eventually sorts those things out. Our tech folks on the other hand never implement anything well so I would imagine that Teams may work well elsewhere, but it will probably be a mess here. Meanwhile, the overpaid techies will slink off to propose spending another $1B for the next shiney new thing. Round and round it goes.
Curious why they don't want to use Symphony across the enterprise. It's in use by all of WF technology. WF, other banks and many fintechs invested in the company. Look it up.
@1njm If this wasn't a bank, then yes, a lot more options for collaboration and messaging, but given the restrictive nature of the business, then not many other choices

This is true of every enterprise function rolled out in the last 12 years since i’ve worked here.
...crashes Microsoft exchange when I run it. Have to shut it down and then make serial calls to the automated password reset line.
It is the worst bas tar dized implementation I have seen ever. Half the functions arent rolled out like outlook integration ffs and the live events platform works maybe 60% of the time. It isnt india help desk supported so the teams using it are doing their own tech support and they have this ridiculous ambassador program that forces the pilot team to be thier representatives in the markets.
Untrained, unwanted additional work that insulates the IT people from their poor implementation.

Everybody O know who uses it says it sucks. IT, health care, you name it. So not looking forward to it being forced upon us. I’m sure Chuckles is enjoying his kickbacks though.
The pilot group now has over 100,000 users. Skype for business is going away in 2022, as microsoft drops support for it. Every employee will be on Teams soon.
Teams is in pilot only and has been on hold for a while now.
Just an incredible product. When RTO happens, we’ll use teams even when in office together. I’ll be in the can with my laptop on teams, it’s like FB and addicting!
