Amex Flex work plan

Good to see one major financial service player adopting modern day practices. Please push this down Shart and the OC throat in every AMA and town hall , WFC needs to be at minimum at this standard to compete in years to come

So we can dismiss someone's opinion based on their gender, skin color, and se-ual orientation now? Good to know.

I have an idea, how about we treat people like individual human beings, always hire/promote the best person for the job, and stop shoving people into demographics-based boxes based on ridiculously superficial criteria? Would that be ok, or is hating some group a requirement here?

Amex isn't even close to the same kind of company, and 90% of what they do could probably be automated. 10 years from now the humans that worked for amex will regret it.

I have a close friend who is a hiring manager for a mid-sized regional brokerage. Her company has already returned to office. They are run by a bunch of inflexible older high-social-status “butts in seats” guys. She said the first question out of every potentially qualified candidate’s mouth is if they allow WFH. She said any of the applicants they extend an offer to turn down the job because they were able to find a job that offers them the flexibility employees desire today. Also they are losing good employees to other companies who offer flexibility.

Employees have the upper hand now in most scenarios. Especially if you’ve got the experience, skills and the right attitude. I enjoy my team and my boss, but am not happy with the company WFC has turned out to be. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut and it’s a huge time commitment to get back out there on the job hunt. But I think all of us should always be aiming for higher. The paycheck is only part of th equation. Our health, our happiness, our work/life balance, our futures all depend on the decisions we are making today.

You must be GQP or management. Probably both.

The irony you cannot apparently see is that you keep whining about whiners and offer nothing else to any thread.

when jpm, Goldman, boa all let everyone work remote then maybe we will see some movement. if you don't want to rto then time to move on as many others have mentioned in this post and many others.

A month anywhere seems a bit arbitrary. Why not two months? There was a time at WF that you could work at any office -- reserve a seat, then go badge in. Remote work will still be available after RTO.

it's not actually all that different than the WF policy if you read it carefully. They have framed it better and have left out key details like how you do actually get approved for remote work.

Sounds like you need to go and work for them. Amex is hardly a retail bank so it's like comparing apples and oranges.
