Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Vaccine Exemption and 401k

Found out from a work associate that if you end up getting denied your exemption and decide to take the shot and you are on unpaid leave like the letter states you will forfeit you 401k yearly employer match. So, you get penalized for exercising your rights. This is so wrong and they want to tell us about ethics ?

@1otv is correct. Verified with HR. Aside from any delay for pending exemption review, you have to upload proof by Dec 8. Failure to comply by Dec. 8 will be treated as job abandonment/voluntary termination. No 401k match.

Please. Lose your job then and go away.

Better to lose your job and match than to risk the short and long term effects of the spike protein jabs! Why else do you think OSHA removed the mandates back in May for employers to report adverse events from the jabs on company property?

OSHA: "DOL and OSHA, as well as other federal agencies, are working diligently to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations. OSHA does not wish to have any appearance of discouraging workers from receiving COVID-19 vaccination, and also does not wish to disincentivize employers' vaccination efforts. As a result, OSHA will not enforce 29 CFR 1904's recording requirements to require any employers to record worker side effects from COVID-19 vaccination at least through May 2022."

All. I have verified the thread. I contacted fidelity to verify what was being said here and Fidelity contacted Honeywell and if you are on paid leave prior to December 15 you WILL abosoultley forfeit your company match. The actual Plan description on page #62 says in order to get it you MUST be ACTIVELY employed or be on approved Disability Leave. The interpretation is being on UNPAID leave is you are INACTIVE.

If they were as creative with designing their products as they are with finding ways to cheat their employees, the company would be an industry leader rather than a has-been.

Ethics required for the peons but not for leadership. Leadership does whatever the f they want. They will get their 401k, stock options, and bonus. Clown world we live in.

Doubt it. Even though you would be on unpaid leave, you would still be considered employed. You would still qualify 401k match as long as you are employed on or after the 15th of Dec. The question then becomes, how motivated is Honeywell to move rapidly in order to formally terminate the non compliant between the 8th and 15th of Dec? My guess is not very. They would prefer that you comply. Termination this close to the deadline under these circumstances would just be opening the company up for undesired legal problems. I guess time will tell.

You'll get the match when you win the class action lawsuit.

Did Maddog put in the elbow for export restricted drawings being sent to the People’s Republic of China? No, he got an overpriced bottle of wine from Dairyboy. Don’t pretend they play by the same rules.
