If you happen to get terminated for not getting the jab do you lose your pension? I’m bargained for and our union rep. Says you will but not I’m not 100% sure that is accurate and curious if anyone else happens to know. I am also pressing the union for more info regarding this.

I'm only going to say this 3 times...
Take your pension as a lump sum and walk away.
Take your pension as a lump sum and walk away.
Take your pension as a lump sum and walk away.
I took my lump sum Jan 1 2021. Invested relatively conservatively, it's up almost 10% already. I will never worry about AT&T's pension fund failing as I am no longer part of it.
This raises another good question. Can we cut the pension for people who got the Vax? It would save the money for the rest of us to keep Building Back Better.
Lots of free wrong information here. Try getting the truth somewhere else than here. Vested means you earned it and will receive it if you have the necessary years of service plus age.
Hur Dur Muh Vax @3mby+1dqbyzpM
We can force them to take the jab, we can force them to do all kinds of things. Just declare a emergency. Why stop here? Good days!
This raises a good point. Can we force the people already on pension to get the jab?
You do realize that when people pass on, the pension stops paying, right?
You also realize that when the pension is fully funded, the company can cut its pensions contributions and pay the cash to execs as bonuses instead, right?
If your vested (which is 5 years seniority) you get it. But if you don't have your 30, you can't touch it till then
This raises a good point. Can we force the people already on pension to get the jab?
Thanks for the response . So being denied your pension for failure to get a jab {from what I understand it’s now two jabs so on and so forth) will not jeopardize your pension in any way if you’re vested Pssh off to all the other trolls drinking Stinky’s walnut sauce
you're all gonna lose your pension for redneckery
hearing differently from an officer in our union who claims he’s seen people fired
If you were fired for certain types of misconduct, typically the kind that involves Asset Protection, then the company may attempt to withhold a vested pension. It's not common, but it can and does happen

Radildoscottie, yeah! You tell him ! His freedumbs, yeah! Step back in! Lettuce know bro! Yeah!
That’s what I thought until hearing differently from an officer in our union who claims he’s seen people fired and not get their pension. Not sure what the circumstances may have been
You’ve been here 41 years and you don’t understand vesting yet? You’re vested. It’s your money. They can’t keep it. End of discussion. Anyone who says differently doesn’t understand.
"Wouldn't expect anyone that would make a statement like this standing up to anything."
make sure you stop back in and let us know how things worked out after you stood up for your free-d-mbs chief
LOL @1jcf+1dqbyzpM if the "retirement" dinner is your concern you are more of a clown than most here
You're vested but don't expect to get the retirement dinner, they're scamming that too. These California communists are something. You can keep my retirement dinner AT&T, hope you choke on it!
@1yjn+1dqbyzpM
You are another of the unskilled hypocrite masses @ American Thieves and Thugs that believes they are unique and special and will not be affected at all by the events this 'mandate ' will generate. Assume your normal position and tell us you love it . If we need further lip service from you, we will roll you over.
Thank you for that post. Did some research and found what you said is correct. If you’re vested they CANNOT deny you you’re pension if you are fired / terminated. To all you trolls go drink more of Stinky’s walnut sauce
YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LOSE YOUR PENSION IF YOU’RE FIRED, as long as you’re vested, then it’s yours and can’t be withheld from you! This is factual as I know a person that was fired and still kept his pension!
I should have known better to post this question here. Go back to mamma’s basement and troll elsewhere and get some more walnut sauce from Stinky
What is your plan do something stupid and get fired? quit dummy really you have to actually ask that question what did you expect to hear?
It blows my mind that there is a pool of these people what want to feel important enough after being useless to ATT for like what? 20 years now? (we all know who these people are) to go down in their own glorious moment in history and opt out of employment now. They enjoyed 30 years of amazing union pay and benefits to die on this re--rded hill. The regulars in your group that stay behind will laugh about you for years after you leave. Enjoy your OANN news feed during retirement days. I'm sure the Don will make it again in 2024.
If you’re fired, you lose pension. If you retire, you don’t. Retire before they fire you for not being vaccinated.
wait you mean I can lose hundreds of thousands of dollars??
you d-mb hick*
Whatever you get who cares? Just man up and leave. Stop asking questions. Your principles do not waiver. You don't take Joe's Jab. Hand in your phone and PC. Be a man. Godspeed on your future endeavors in a free America.
I for one won't be taking the liquid Stankey shot.....
1jyo+1dqbyzp im aware of not getting the remainder of your vacation but what are you basing the getting no pension on? Please provide some valid information backing up your statements Or just troll elsewhere. Are there any Union officers posting here?
Your gonna get nothing. No pension, no vacation. That's what you get for following bad advice. A big fat nothing.
after 41 years the pension is yours and you are 100% vested. unions are sc-m and no better than the trash in washington dc. your sc-m union rep is lying to you.
hope you stand up to your choice in your heart.
if you still want employment there is a website called jobsnotjabs that have companies that are hiring no matter what your vaccine status. https://jobsnotjabs.com
good luck and congratulations for all your hard work for all these years.
Vested pension is yours. Does not matter how you separate from the company. When you can take commencement of that depends on your age and years of service, (MR75 rule). If you are at MR75 and think you will be cut due to the vaccine mandate, you can drop off your keys and ID card and retire with full benefits. Hope this helps, this is for bargained employees though.
"good luck finding another job after standing up for your free-d-mbs". Wouldn't expect anyone that would make a statement like this standing up to anything.
You’ve vested your pension. It’s yours to take. I left two weeks ago, also 41 years. No one will take my freedom of choice away from me.
OP here again. Should read “ our union rep says you will not get your pension” (if terminated for not getting the jab)
Your pension is earned and with 41 years you are vested…go enjoy your life :)
OP here. I have 41 years and not looking to start over so please keep you opinions to yourself. I’m just looking for some accurate information
If you are vested, you will get it. But it’s not worth giving up your career over refusing to get a glorified flu shot.
good luck finding another job after standing up for your free-d-mbs
