Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

You'll be happier if you leave

There is life after UHC. The world of Employee Benefits is extremely vast, find leadership in a new organization that places value in their employees and uplifts you when your down.

So much this. This place is as toxic as it gets. If it gets to the point where it's affecting your mental and physical health, you NEED to leave. I know it can be scary, but the result will be worth it. I know of plenty of people who left UHG and are now happier than ever.

Got laid off in 2020. I was devastated. Got a new job within 2 weeks, took my very nice severance and LOVE my new job and my new company. Can’t believe I wasted one tear on UHC.

Left a few months ago and knew it was bad but not how much it had dr-g me down until a couple months after I was gone. UHG/Optum are toxic to American health care.
