Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Trust is eroded now..

Daily harassment about RTO and pictures about RTO...no one is given a voice even the comments are turned off.

The mass amount of requests on esat about wfh or hybrid...ignored.

Yesterday's email regarding RTO says "this progress is directly contributing to our terrific financial results"... straight lie...he has solid performance while working from home.

Last year's comp... solid year...massive cuts to share the success with employees while execs got paid well above what they normally get.

2022 is going to be a world of hurt for this bank. Morale is going to sink beyond rescue. Bank will survive but the old culture will not.

@xon+1drRQVAb Why don't we just shut up and do as we're told, regardless of what it is? Because we have this thing called self-respect. Eating every plate of sht BoA puts in front of you with a smile isn't a virtue, and posting in every topic to attack people who complain is pathetic and a little embarrassing.

Wtf have we all been doing this entire time if not working ?!

WFH and Hybrid WORKS!

So many losers who just enjoy eye candy and water cooler talk. Don’t get enough at home.

@1vrt+1drRQVAb Completely disagree with that perspective… and so does BofA.

The Bank wants associates’ opinions and feedback. No one expects employees to never have a voice.

It’s true at the end of the day, leadership will make the ultimate decisions but to assume the rest of us should “keep our mouths shut” is absurd.

What most people fail to realize......B of A is the employer, you are the employee. You do not run anything or make decisions on what is best for the company. Know your role and hush your mouth.

Does anyone else get the feeling those on here shilling for RTO are the kind of people who willingly stay at the office over hours because they hate their families or so lonely the office is the only place they get some kind of legitimate human interaction?

Like they literally have no life outside of the office and their coworkers are their "family."

Basically any potential WFH scenario has been destroyed by the unwillingness of the unvaccinated.

Good job, losers. You ruined it for everyone, including the soccer moms.

Because there's no way they can force a jab under OSHA if you are WFH. It's simple. They must use the "Scary coworker" meme to justify employee vax under OSHA.

Exactly, the company wants control of its employees… but… shouldn’t they have it? Get on board with their choices or get out, you aren’t the good guy/girl here. Your complaints are a cancer to the rest, and you’re going to cause people who don’t know how beneficial RTO is to see it as a bad thing simply because you don’t want to shower and drive to work. It sounds more like the control issue is on the RTO refusers. You had it during the pandemic, and you’re about to lose it now that it’s past the dangerous part of it.

If you are able to WFH successfully, what is the big drive to change back?
Statements such as "back to work" need to stop. Hybrid makes the most sense for many non frontline jobs.
It's a control issue to force people back without regard.

@kbs+1drRQVAb Wrong... BofA told us 5 days/week in the office... Other banks are doing hybrid as you note (3 or 4 days/week). Big difference, many associates whose jobs are fully functional remote have inquired consistently for hybrid but BofA leadership continues to ignore everything. Leadership has a hidden agenda.

Many other banks and financial institutions have been open and vaccinated people are back in office 3 or 4 days a week with no big issues. Not sure why BoA is having such a hard time getting its employees back to work. I guess it’s because most here don’t really like their jobs.

People that complain will generally complain about everything. Rather than take control of their situation and move on, they would rather stay and complain. It’s just their nature.

The sad thing is, these people that are dragging their feet to comply with getting vaccinated will be the people that get the least amount of pay increases and bonus amounts. They’ve literally scr3wed themselves. If you’re still unvaccinated today, don’t bother because the banks knows you’re not a company person.

It’s a lose/lose for this unvaccinated group, even if they get vaccinated to save their jobs at the last minute, the company knows they didn’t want to comply until absolutely necessary.

I don’t agree, but it is what it is. You can see what’s playing out.

Oh my gosh, do you not understand????? It’s called WORK. You get paid to come to the office to WORK. Then, you get a paycheck, maybe even a fat bonus if you do a good job and don’t complain.

I mean cmon people. This is getting ridiculous with the expectations and entitlement of people to think they can just work from wherever they want and if the bank say no, then the bank is the bad guy. No, its called a job, work, you don’t get to make up the rules, if you want to make the rules up, go open your own company.

These people cannot be for real.
