Toni Sacconaghi's Questioning on Earnings Release Conference Call

I have been listening to IBM's earnings release conference calls for over 20 years. Toni's questions have been the best and his calls have probably been the most accurate over the years. His questioning and tone have never been worse. IBM has been distracted with the spinoff, the customer coverage changes, the market changes. Arvind's and Jim's answers evasive. Its really over.

The execs are just playing a game at the expense of the IBM Corporation and to enrich themselves. The BOD let them (Execs) play the way they want because most of them have been in Exec positions before or now and they know how the game works, not to mention they (BOD) are paid handsomely to shut their mouths. And at the end of the day who is the Chairman of the BOD? yeah, that is the IBM CEO.

Good luck all. From my perspective, I hope to still be at IBM when it totally collapses... I will have something to tell my grand-kids... Once upon a time, I was part of the best company on earth, yet that company came crashing down because the greed of its Execs was more important than anything else! Go Execs... I am rooting for you...

It might have been a simple thing to say "we were distracted by the spin-off and contracts could not be completed since it required new contracts, our sales reps did not know where they were going and that caused them to hesitate for a moment". Kidding but IBM just takes for granted that things will be BAU while they constantly re-organize every single year. Might have been a bad time for disruption in the sales force. Seriously, can this continue? any experts out there?

You are absolutely correct. And out of all the analysts asking questions, Tony appears to be the only one who understands that if IBM continues on that path then it will be the end soon for IBM.
