Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Bank of America - Brea Call Center 275 Valencia Ave Closing

Hello everyone,

The Brea Bank of America Site will be closing after July 2022. Has anyone been told that they wont have a job after July 2022. I am trying to see what options do 4k employees have ? Start looking out ? Wait for a relocation announcement ? Or just take severence (long term payments) ? I am worried 16 year bofa veteran ! Lets gather some responses please !

So April 26,2022. No word yet. Everything points to B of A laying off 3000 employees. They are slowly moving departments to Jacksonville, Florida. What a joke as Brian Moynihan puts on flagscape what a great 1st quarter we had which included people working from home but now they are going to get rid of us

Not yet, no plans no announcements as of yet. Yeah, i feel bad for 4000+ employees working here at Brea. Hoping that we find a new building new location - i dont know how work from home will factor in. Some positions are truly WFH - dont really require a trip to workplace. So lets see, hopefully all goes well. But thank you for your wishes my friends !

Christ that's a big location. I'm really sorry.

It appears that everything in our LOB is being moved to Phoenix from Cali so I’m sure there will be some opportunities filled there for key talent. Otherwise, it’s the bots who will replace many of the jobs at least on the Ops side. Is anyone aware if they are going to find other buildings for us that are local?
