Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Jobs with travel

Company no longer offers opportunities for worldwide travel. This was why I stayed in the past. Anyone know of companies or industries where world travel is a big part of the job?

I am vaccinated and wearing a mask is not a big deal. Those who think wearing a mask is tough don’t know what tough is.

Travel will be coming back in 2022, albeit less so than before. But it’s planned to return to “normal” for 2023, baring any major changes with regard to covid and government imposed travel rules.

I’m not sure where you could realistically with your current skill set to a travel company, especially globally. Even consulting companies are largely not traveling people who have been hired into 80% travel roles. And that’s for domestic, so international it’s even less so.

@OP Why do you want to travel during a pandemic? Most countries that Americans would want to visit have Covid-19 restrictions in place that the average American would have difficulty tolerating, including mask and vaccine requirements.

I continue to travel internationally for the company - a couple of weeks a month now that some covid-related restrictions are lifted. I am a specialist.
Maybe you're just not of any further value for that purpose with ExxonMobil.

Doctors without Borders is a good org if you are a medical professional.
Go grab a degree in that.
