Not anybody because I've been with the company for almost 7 years and I got shot down the same lead position TWICE this year. Fu-k em all I stopped helping all of the areas let it all go to he-l

Same and true. We are told not to open registers. We are told to delegate our associates in the right way. They don't want us on exit, we have to have 2 people there permanently. Etc etc etc. But then other times if it's "too busy" then suddenly why the he-l aren't we opening registers and on the door. Etc. Where is that fine line of too busy and not?? Not sure. Depends on who the manager on duty is. Since we are alone half the time anyway, don't really have the ability to open registers. Because if any help is needed anywhere else in that time, too bad, we can't get there. We are stuck. Double edged sword folks but yes, this is how they want it.

I was a front-end lead. Was pulled into the office and told leads don't do physical labor, to stop helping to load/unload groceries. That I had other duties. A few months later (a couple of weeks after March 10th, 2020), I was pulled into the office and told leads need to open a register when we were this busy and short of staff. Guess my other duties no longer mattered. I stepped down a few months later. The manager wasn't consistent in her directions. Constantly told to do one thing and then we were pulled into the office and lectured for doing exactly what she said to.

when I was a lead, I got coached for actually doing physical labor, Sam’s doesn’t want leads to work, only manage staff, scary but very true, , so sad
