I vest my 401k match next August. If I get the PIP next July do I still get the vesting?

Can also confirm it vests while on PIL. Would still talk to benefits people and leave everything in writing if it happens.
@plg+1dtRW79G That’s what I needed to know, thank you!
And thanks @rpe, I just wasn’t sure if PIL’ed employees still accrued service towards vesting.
@eon, just planning ahead sir/ma’am. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
@eon+1dtRW79G such a pity id--t you are. It is people like you that are driving the company towards the ground. You can laugh all you want when you get pipped next. Such a disgraceful id--t you are.
Yes you get vested. My colleague took the PIL and it ran through into the 3 year mark and the colleague told me they were vested. I took the PIP so I can make it to where I get vested before I leave, fortunately or unfortunately I got a job with better pay and benefits so I’m going to leave before that point. Ouch!
no
If you are an employee on the vesting date you will be vested. If you are offered pip/pil choice in July taking the pip for a month or 6 weeks before deciding whether to take the pil seems the path to ensure you don’t get screwed further.
What a silly question from a troll. You got laid off? Pity we are doing well without all you lazies. Have a good life!
