I hear alot of folks complaining about not being able to get PTO approved around holidays, and especially those that have birthdays near holidays. Birthdays? What are you,10? Your job should be approximately in the top 2 of your priority list. But don't worry about it. Keep treating your job like it's a nuisance, and you're above it all, and take 10 minutes to tell me why you can't do a 5 minute job. There are plenty of folks that are not like this, and you can call them a$$ kissers when all they're doing is what they are supposed to be doing.

It's every year you have to po ur in like way out to even get a chance to get approved. If you wait until October your not getting approved. Anyone that has worked there even one year knows this. I mean it is the holiday season and Sam's is busy this time of year.

If Sam's is a priority to you outside of a paycheck then I'm sorry you must have a very sad and purposeless life. I suggest finding a hobby fast before this company let's you down.

Everyone has a right to take their vacation. It's hardly lazy. You earn it, deserve it and need it. Especially with the past almost 2 years of this covid cr*p and everything everyone has had to deal with. Managers sure as he-l make sure to take their vacations. Frequently. One manager has been there barely 6 months and is on their 3rd week of vacation already. So yea, don't talk down to people who want to use theirs. Especially if it's for ONE day, birthday or otherwise. Besides, you don't use it, you will eventually start losing it. Apparently, that's ok with you when you start losing yours. Remember that. My life and my family with ALWAYS be my number 1 priority. I'm sorry you can't afford for that to be an option for you and you are bitter about it. But make better life choices and maybe you won't have to hate on others who have the choice. Because there is always a choice. I don't owe any job anything. I work, they pay me, I go home. Period. There is nothing more. It is a transaction. I get paid for what I do and that is it. I take the vacation I earn as offered under the terms of my employment. If you choose to work for free and give up your vacation that is YOUR choice. Back off anyone else who has brains enough to want to take theirs.
It’s my PTO. I will take it whenever the fcuk I want.

if i want to take off for national hot cheesecake day and I have enough PTO for it thats MY BUSINESS. yall mustvs forgotten you dont own us. Dont down play others wanting to be off for thier birthdays because you have a miserable life. what a loser.
