Ok I'm going to start by saying I haven't been fond of these posts and have thought people posting were just lying about their awesome new opportunity and just rubbing it in for those of us still here but after several months of looking, I finally found a great new opportunity to get out of here. I'm not in tech (that's a whole different animal in the work world) but managed a 50% increase and negotiated a sign-on bonus to cover my bonus I'll be forfeiting. For those that may also try to do this, know that they will likely ask you for proof of that bonus (an offer letter or similar should work) so don't fib. I was very picky about my job search, I had quite a few opportunities where I could have just left quickly for a lateral role, but I was not at that stage yet to want to take that type of move. So I kept looking for legitimate roles I felt I was a good fit for that would help my career and hopefully pay. Since it doesn't seem common here, I'll say I was already making around 200k plus bonus here at Wells Fargo and it's possible to find this roles if you have the right experience and attitude. Keep connected to your networks on LinkedIn as well. I've had others I've worked with get good opportunities lately and are leaving. So posting to say, there is hope, don't give up but don't just jump for any opportunity either, find the right role for you! good luck to all.

It's nice to hear that people are successfully increasing their own fortunes by getting out of here. Unfortunately it seems that only the well off are the ones able to do this.
Not too many stories of average incomes making positive changes for themselves.
I know an IT manager now is a developer at his new role. Less pay but also less headache

Yes it’s a leader role.
I also didn’t bring up the bonus until after the offer was made which the recruiter wasn’t happy about but since they didn’t ask prior, I let them know after they made the offer that I’d be forfeiting the current years bonus leaving now and gave some options such as a sign on bonus or them to guarantee me their bonus for next year.
Ended up working out; also have a colleague who did the same and was able to get their bonus and stick matched. Personally I didn’t bother about the rsr from here.
Congrats! I left recently as well, but was a little too aggressive with negotiating on the salary that I overlooked and ended up not focusing on the alternatives (such as sign-on bonus) and partially screwed things up in that sense. Actually, I almost lost the opportunity but fortunately was able to salvage it. Either way, I'm glad to be out of Wells - it's horrible there and I feel bad for my old coworkers who are still there.
