Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Facebook changing it’s name to recast the company’s public image

Wells Fargo’s name is unfortunately now associated with scandal after nearly a decade of mismanagement, pressure cooker sales environment, customer abuse, inadequate governance and risk controls, shareholder lawsuits, fines in the billions, etc.

Should Wells Fargo change it’s name? Would Charlie and our BOD have the guts to pull it off?

It's becoming a JP Morgan affiliate because of Charlie bringing over JP's rejects.

Don't know if you have noticed, but there is a concentrated effort to get rid of the stagecoach and western branding.

Agreed. Huge waste of money and entirely transparent / pandering. Just replacing the signs alone would cost a fortune. That money is better spent elsewhere.

They should change it to Wachovia.

Name changes don't fool anyone. You either fix your brand or you don't, and it has nothing to do with the name.

Not happening. Too much American history there. The only exception would be if they move the whole thing offshore like they are tech and call centers.
