There's a certain style of leadership that requires the carrot to dangle out there for a while. Especially if the carrot is big.
It's not new in general (think Edison, Jobs, Musk), but somewhat new to ExxonMobil leaders. So it gets a little awkward sometimes.
And DW and the boys were a bit hung over from their celebrations last night.
