Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Accept a lower paid job

It is clear to me that both compensation and mentally wise I could do a lot better at another company, for the amount of work and unrealistic expectations I have to deal with here.

Although, I think there are many who have agreed to a lower pay, just to get rid of this stress here?
I am on the verge of accepting a lower paid job, just so that I no longer have anything to do with ATT.

I took a job for lower pay. Now I bounced to one with much higher pay.
Its good to get away and clear the mind plus pick up new skills.
Prospective employers will pick up on the new and improved you after leaving T. Good luck!

Many folks have ATTspecific skill sets and it is not always easy to find the same pay. Maybe the new job will give you a chance to move up. Good luck

Every person has to make that decision on what's important in their life and career. Money is not everything. Happiness in what you do is as important to keep sanity. If a little less money make your life better go for it. Have no regrets don't look back.

The only stress free jobs are at the VP level and above. The hardest decisions have to make are the color of the bar charts on a power point presentation!!

With the continued drop of benefits, lower pay at a company with a stronger benefits package might be better for you.

With what I hear about the job market, either you are one of the Toxic T grossly overpaid upper mismanagement, or your job offer was in OKC and you are relocating from Silicon Valley or New York? Otherwise perhaps you need counseling on searching for a new position.

Most are finding better pay, not worse! But escaping Toxic T is ALWAYS the right choice.
